Ivana Popovic

Ivana Popović, a flutist, was born in Belgrade where she completed her primary and secondary
music education at the Dr. Vojislav Vučković Music School. She continued her studies at the
Music Academy of the University of Montenegro in Cetinje, under the guidance of Professor
Ljubiša Jovanović, where she earned numerous awards at both republican and federal
competitions as a soloist and as part of chamber ensembles. During her first year of studies in
Bari, Italy, she had the opportunity to premiere the piece "Leave me alone" by Professor and
Dean of the Music Academy in Cetinje, Senad Gačević. Throughout her studies, she attended
master classes with renowned professors such as Michel Debost, Kathleen Chastain, János Bálint,
and others.
Since 2001, she has been teaching flute at her alma mater, the Dr. Vojislav Vučković Music
School in Belgrade. Her students have not only performed extensively in the school and concert
halls throughout Belgrade and the country but have also won national and international awards,
continuing their education at the Faculty of Music Arts both domestically and abroad.
She has participated as a jury member in both international and national competitions in Serbia.
