Filip Rakić was born in Belgrade, where he completed his undergraduate and master’s academic studies at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade under the guidance of Professor Aleksandar Benčić. He pursued his postgraduate studies at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana with Professor Dušan Kranjc.

Throughout his education, he won numerous awards at national and international competitions. He was a multiple-time recipient of the Dositeja Fund for Young Talents scholarship. He has collaborated with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra RTS, the National Theatre Orchestra in Belgrade, the Symphony Orchestra Makris, Camerata Serbica, United Soloists, and other ensembles.

He is currently employed as the principal trombonist in the Artistic Ensemble Stanislav Binički and as a trombone professor at the Music School Davorin Jenko.
