Competition

For more than two decades, the International Competition “Davorin Jenko” has attracted the attention of both the domestic and international music community with its professional yet open and flexible approach to music. The competition aims to bridge the gap between traditional and contemporary artistic expression, bringing together participants of all ages, educational backgrounds, and musical interests.

Over the years, more than 12,000 participants from Serbia and abroad — including Italy, Austria, Switzerland, France, Germany, Ukraine, Russia, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and many others — have taken part in this prestigious event.

A distinguished jury composed of renowned pedagogues and performers from Serbia and abroad (Germany, England, China, Austria, Russia, Ukraine, Slovenia, Spain, the United Kingdom, and others), the warm hospitality of the hosts, and a unique awarding system all contribute to the high reputation and distinctive character of the competition.

From the very beginning, the organizers’ idea has been to make “Davorin Jenko” not only a competition, but also an unforgettable artistic and social experience.

Competition 2026

We would like to inform you that this year we are not in a position to hold the competition in its established format.

Due to newly arisen circumstances beyond the organiser’s control, a decision has been made to cancel the competition, taking into account our responsibility towards the participants, jury members, and all collaborators involved.

Fully aware of the importance of continuity and quality of this project, this decision was made with great responsibility, in the hope that the necessary conditions will be met in the coming period to continue holding the competition in a manner consistent with its established standards.
