The International Davorin Jenko Piano & Wind Competition

Born in Belgrade, in 1951. She finished the piano department of primary and secondary music school, "Josip Slavenski" in Belgrade, in the class of Professor Ratinka Ilin, and the Academy of Music in the class of Professors Vlastimir Škarka and Mirjana Vukdragović. As a student she won numerous awards in state and country competitions. She played in a number of concerts in music halls of Belgrade and other cities. She has recorded for Serbian Radio Television.

 

Since 1970 she has been working as a piano teacher in music school "Davorin Jenko" in Belgrade. She has had a number of highly successful students who have won prizes in national and international competitions (Johan Sebastian Bach Competition and international competition "Milos Magin" in Paris, International competitions in Italy ("Pietra Ligure", "Milano di Sale", "Monkalijeri" - Torino, "Dino Giani" Association – Verbania, "F. Forgione", "I. Boromee" and Stresa).

 

Her students have performed in great concert halls in Serbia and Europe ("Gavo" in Paris, Amphitheater of the Library of Rome, in Turin, Milan, London, Munich, Ljubljana, and in Belgrade in the Kolarac Hall, Bitef Theater, Ruski Dom, "Progres" Gallery and many others).

 

A number of her students have recorded for TV Belgrade and radio and television stations in Italy, France, Germany and England. She won a number of national and international awards (from "D. Jenko" music school, the Award of the Association of Musical and Ballet Pedagogues of Serbia, a Medal in Stresa, Italy for her students’ repeated successes, the Best Professor Cup in the international competitions "F. Forgione" and "I. Boromee" in Italy).

 

She took part in juries in the Festival of Music Schools in Serbia, state competition, "Vojislav Vučković" competition, international competitions in Verbania and Stresi in Italy, Open competition "Davorin Jenko", where she is also the president of the board for piano, pianist duos and chamber ensembles.
