GLIGOR GELEBEŠEV
Macedonia
started his music education in his hometown, Gevgelija, with Prof. Ljubica Uliševa and finished secondary music school in Skopje, with Prof. T.Svetieva. He was studying at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, with Prof. Jokut Mihailović, and obtained his MA degree in Skopje in 1997.
During the course of his education, he was winning prizes both at local and international competitions. Besides his pedagogical activity, he has performed as a solo pianist playing recitals and concerts with the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra, and as a chamber musician. He formed the piano duet "Gelebeševi" with his spouse Katerina Gelebeševa Kostadinovska in 2001, which has performed at numerous concerts both in Macedonia (Ohrid Summer Festival, Skopje Summer Festival, ’’Heraclea Nights’’ and "Interfest" in Bitola, etc.) and abroad: in France (Paris), Serbia (Novi Sad, Niš), Netherlands (Den Bosch) and Romania (Bucharest, Craiova).
The duet released their first CD with the music of Debussy, Chopin, Khachaturian, Chabrier and Bartok in 2008.
Gligor Gelebešev is currently working as a professor at DMBUC "Ilija Nikolovski-Luj" in Skopje, where he is the head of piano department.
